About Explorable
Explorable brings ideas to life through objects and experiences that move, evolve, and connect us.
Explorable is a creative platform for making things that invite participation. We design projects that do not stay still, do not belong to one person, and are not finished until people take part.
At its heart, Explorable is about curiosity. What happens when an idea is released instead of controlled? What if people are not just audiences, but contributors? What if an object or experience could grow through use and shared care?
Explorable exists to test those questions in the real world.
What Explorable Makes
Explorable creates explorable things.
Sometimes those things are experiences. Sometimes they are physical objects. Often they blend the physical and the digital. All are designed to move, to evolve, and to connect people through simple acts of participation.
Our projects often include:
- Movement through space or through people
- Open-ended prompts instead of fixed outcomes
- Digital layers that track, reflect, or respond
- Stories shaped by many hands, not a single author
These are not products designed to be consumed and put away. They are designed to stay in motion.
Explorer Series
Explorer Series is the original Explorable project and the foundation from which everything else grew.
Explorer Series began as an experiment in getting people outside and exploring their own communities in accessible, playful ways. It has since grown into a platform for self-guided adventures, virtual challenges, and community-driven events across Canada and beyond.
What Explorer Series Is
Explorer Series creates self-guided outdoor and fitness experiences for individuals, families, teams, corporate groups, and nonprofits.
Its experiences include walking, hiking, running, biking, and paddling, delivered through flexible challenges that can be completed anytime and anywhere. Each challenge combines physical movement, digital tools, and a spirit of exploration to encourage connection, well-being, and social impact.
All that’s needed is a smartphone, curiosity, and the willingness to get outside.

Explorer Series exists to promote physical and mental well-being, strengthen communities, and maximize social impact through movement.
Its mission is to deliver innovative, health-focused adventures that support nonprofits, enable fundraising, enhance tourism, and create meaningful team-building experiences while encouraging sustainable, active lifestyles.

This Book Travels
This Book Travels is Explorable’s second project and its first fully object-based experiment.
Where Explorer Series focuses on movement through space, This Book Travels explores movement through people.
What This Book Travels Is
This Book Travels is a collection of shared, living journals released into the world.
Each journal moves from person to person. Every finder adds something of their own, logs the moment online, and passes it along. Over time, the journals collect stories, drawings, notes, and reflections from many hands, building a shared record of places and people.
These journals are designed to travel, to change, and to be shaped by participation. They even write back to the people who take part.
Why It Exists
This Book Travels was created as an experiment in shared authorship and connection.
It asks whether a simple book can feel alive through use, whether small contributions can create meaningful connection, and whether people might feel part of something larger simply by adding a page and passing it on.
It is not meant to be finished. It is meant to keep moving.

Explorable is a project of Stir Marketing, a creative and marketing studio based in Vancouver, Canada.
Stir Marketing brings over two decades of experience helping organizations bring ideas to life through strategy, marketing, advertising, storytelling, and design.
